While there maybe a number of choices, it really isn’t to hard to dial in this driver. I had already enjoyed the Cobra AMP Cell Irons.
COBRA AMP CELL DRIVER SHAFT OPTIONS PRO
The Cobra AMP Cell pro is said to be a lower spin head, as well as a lower spinning stock shaft. There is the Cobra AMP Cell in 4 colors and the Cobra AMP Cell pro in 2 colors each with 6 hosel settings.

Now this is a wider range than most adjustable drivers go to and one of the reasons for this is the fact that when you change loft you can also affect the face angle. With the AMP Cell, Cobra have changed the settings to be loft based with a range of 8.5 to 11.5 degrees. I really need to see some numbers to find the best setting for each and compare them. Cobra is offering quite a few different models, so choose wisely. The previous AMP range had 3 options of open, closed and neutral. He told me me before I could do that for $30 for half an hour. I tried to compare them on a Flightscope at Golf Mart and the monkey I asked said it's only for fitting new clubs. Hitting some into a strong wind in my back yard, my first impression is the D+ will still be better. I took the one off the matrix and put it on a Kuro Kage Silver I have.

After spending more time with it I'm warming up to it. Better but still missing the feel and solid sound of my amp cell pro. I've had it for a few weeks, blue as well. There is tuning to be done, but so far I'm immensely happy. At 9.5° there might be a bit too much spin, but I hit one last night at 8.5°, which while easily long enough, looked like it would have been a bit better still with a bit more air under it. I'm going to get it on the monitor soon to see what the numbers look like. So far I've played it at both 8.5° and 9.5°. I haven't hit it on the monitor yet, but I've got 27 holes (3x9) under my belt with it, and so far it's everything I wanted it to be.it's also blue, which is nice. I don't know if I get out of the Rogue shaft what the Tour guys, do, but the extremely low torque seems to work for me. The guys at Cobra and Aldila hooked me up with this insane BiO Cell Pro combo. Neither looked or felt right (+ in particular just didn't suit my eye), and so I've played something else all season long.Īfter what seems like forever, my long wait is over.

I had high hopes for the 2014 stuff, but neither BiO Cell or BiO Cell+ really moved me. It certainly didn't help that GolfSpy Dave is bagging one too.Īs some of you probably know, I played the Amp Cell Pro most of last season. It's basically been in Rickie's bag all season. I've been waiting to get my hands on one of these since before anybody knew it was a real thing (it hit the USGA list long before Cobra was willing to say anything about it). By now hopefully you've read Greenadam21's BiO Cell Pro review.
